Dear Dean and Anita, Thanks so much for sharing your beautiful home with us. We had a very relaxing trip and would love to come back! We thoroughly enjoyed the house and took some great day trips. We rafted down the Corobici River, rode horses, went to the beach, took the aerial trail and canopy tours at Buena Vista Lodge, and saw the most amazing sunsets we have ever experienced. The stars at night were really something to see—the kids said it was better than the Planetarium. The staff at Worldwide was very accommodating and eager to help us, too. It was everything we hoped for and more. This was my children’s first trip to a black sand beach and they were awed by it. They are beach babies but we live near Destin where the beaches are sugar white so that was a real treat for them. They felt right at home in your house (we all did, and took care of it as we would our own) but it was a lesson for them to see not everyone lives the way we do here with toys and computers and beautiful schools, etc. They were surprised to learn about Costa Rica’s high literacy rate given how hard they saw everyone working and how different the schools were from the one they attend every day. I think they came away with a genuine respect for the culture there and a new appreciation of things we take for granted. You know when mama’s a principal, you can’t just go on vacation—she’s always teaching! Again, thanks for all your help.
